This hard-hitting LP of tough-as-you-like roots was dropped to great acclaim in 1981. The deep and heavy dubs were mixed by the one and only Scientist at the legendary King Tubby's studio with great mic work from Michael Prophet, Patrick Andy and Alric Forbes. It is music drenched in island vibes with dark soul and plenty of great horns. The mixing is of course next level, as always with Scientist, so you can be sure of a real trip when listening to this one front to back.

Yabby You/Scientist

Yabby You, also known as Jesus Dread due to his Christian faith, was a distinctive figure in reggae music, renowned for his unique production style and artistic contributions. Despite facing poverty and health challenges, he left behind a substantial body of work, collaborating with artists like Michael Prophet, Wayne Wade, Big Youth, Tapper Zukie, and Dillinger. His discography also includes several dub sets, often created in partnership with King Tubby and his protégés.
As one of Tubby’s students, Scientist quickly established himself as a leading dub master. He became a preferred engineer for Henry “Junjo” Lawes, and Greensleeves Records released a remarkable series of Scientist dub albums in the early 1980s.
